The Foundations of Counseling Skills and Process is a six-module online training designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills for effective helping relationships. The course introduces the nature and purpose of counseling, the role of the counselor, effective communication, active listening, empathy, questioning, reflection, building rapport, and the stages of the counseling process.
It is ideal for parents, teachers, Human Resource professionals, student counselors, caregivers, ministry leaders, and anyone who desires to understand counseling skills and processes.
Participants will also explore professional boundaries, confidentiality, ethics, and appropriate referral. The training provides a practical foundation for supporting others with greater confidence, sensitivity, and understanding.
The 6 modules run for six weeks (15 October – 19 November 2026):
• 1 live class every Thursday at 7:00 PM EAT
• Video and worksheet assignment each week
The training is conducted by a Counseling Psychologist licensed by KCPA.

From 15 Oct 2026 to 19 Nov 2026, return to your registration page each Thursday at 7:00 PM EAT. Complete the weekly video and worksheet assignment. The live room opens when the host starts the class.
