2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
  • Facebook/Meta Login: If you sign in using Facebook Login, we receive your public profile information (name, email address, and profile picture) from Meta Platforms. We do not access your Facebook friends list, posts, photos, or any other private content. We only use this information to create or link your account on our platform.
  • Facebook/Meta Interactions: If you interact with our content on Facebook or Instagram (likes, comments, shares), Meta may share limited interaction data with us through the Pages API for engagement analytics. This does not include your private messages or personal data beyond what is publicly visible.
  • Payment processors: M-Pesa (Safaricom) and I&M Bank provide us with transaction confirmations, references, and payment status β€” but we do not receive or store your full card number or M-Pesa PIN.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our website and services.
  • Process and fulfill orders, bookings, and payments.
  • Create and manage your user account.
  • Send transactional emails (order confirmations, booking reminders, password resets).
  • Send newsletters and promotional content (only with your consent; you can unsubscribe anytime).
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Improve our website, services, and user experience through analytics.

  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud or technical issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Counseling Confidentiality

We take the confidentiality of counseling sessions extremely seriously:

  • All information shared during counseling sessions (virtual or in-person) is strictly confidential.
  • Session notes, recordings (if any), and personal disclosures are never shared with third parties without your explicit written consent.
  • Exceptions apply only where disclosure is required by Kenyan law, such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or a valid court order.
  • Our counselors adhere to professional ethical standards and codes of conduct.

5. Payment Information

5.1 M-Pesa Payments

When you pay via M-Pesa, we initiate an STK push to your phone. We store the M-Pesa transaction ID and confirmation status for order fulfillment. We never store your M-Pesa PIN. Payment processing is handled by Safaricom's Daraja API.

5.2 Card Payments (I&M Bank WebPay)

Card payments are processed securely through I&M Bank's iVeri payment gateway. Your card details are entered directly on the bank's secure page β€” we never receive, process, or store your full card number. We only receive a transaction reference and payment status.

6. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers: Trusted third parties that help us operate our business (payment processors, email services, hosting providers). They are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Social media platforms: When blog posts are auto-shared to our social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, Threads), only publicly visible blog content is shared β€” no user personal data.
  • Analytics: We may use Google Analytics or similar services that collect anonymized, aggregated data to improve our website.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
